Bring your students to see Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish at the National Arts Centre. Next, visit the nearby National Gallery of Canada for an interactive tour and artmaking activity, both specially designed to complement the themes of the play.

10:00 a.m.
Watch Th’owxiya at the NAC.
11:10 a.m.
Walk or drive to the National Gallery of Canada (the walk takes about 15–20 minutes).
11:45 a.m.
Eat your lunch at the Gallery (please bring a packed lunch from home).
12:15 p.m.–1:45 p.m.
Participate in an interactive Gallery tour and a hands-on artmaking session. The tour will focus on Indigenous art and storytelling.
1:50 p.m.
Travel back to school.
Language
The play at the NAC is in English (with potential references to Indigenous languages). Your experience at the National Gallery can take place in either English or French.
