Accessibility and
Sensory Guide

The Inspiration Space is located at ground level, directly beneath the Scotiabank Great Hall. To access the space, use the Great Hall elevator or staircase.

Overhead lighting in the Inspiration Space is low. There is a bright light table in one corner. Noise levels are moderate, but may fluctuate, depending on how many people are present.

Various seating options are available, including soft couches and bean bag chairs, as well as firmer chairs and benches. There is an all-gender washroom adjacent to the space.

Objects in the Inspiration Space can be touched. Self-directed activities include a magnet board, book nook, light table with colourful transparent shapes, and art-making materials.

A sensory support box is available in the space. Included in the box are dark glasses to dim bright light, over-the-ear adjustable noise-reducing earmuffs, a pop-it fidget, and a sensory map of the gallery.
