Andrea Kunard
Senior Curator, Photographs
Andrea Kunard, Senior Curator, Photographs, National Gallery of Canada curates, researches and publishes on historical and contemporary photography. Her exhibitions include Susan McEachern: Structures of Meaning (2004), Clash: Conflict and Its Consequences (2012), Michel Campeau: Icons of Obsolescence (2013), Moyra Davey: The Faithful (2020), and Kan Azuma: A Matter of Place (2024) with Assistant Curator Euijung McGillis. Kunard has taught photo history, Canadian art and cultural theory at Carleton and Queen's Universities.
Jasmine Inglis
Assistant Curator, Photographs
Jasmine Inglis is an Assistant Curator in the department of Photographs. Working with collections of Canadian and international photography, both historical and contemporary. She assists in managing permanent collection galleries, upcoming temporary exhibitions and acquisitions. She has a strong knowledge of Indigenous art, having worked in the Indigenous Art department at the NGC previously, and was a co-curator for the 2019 GGArts exhibition and both the 2023 and 2024 GGArts and Sobey Art Awards exhibitions.
Darcy Niemczak
Curatorial Assistant, Photographs
Darcy Niemczak is a Curatorial Assistant in the department of Photographs. His work engages with collections of Canadian and international photography across the history of the medium, with a focus on early colour photography. He has studied at Toronto Metropolitan University, holding a BFA in Image Arts: Photography and an MA in Film + Photography Preservation and Collections Management, which included a graduate residency at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
