Photography at the Gallery
As of April 1st 2025, professional photography sessions are permitted in the Gallery’s public spaces for a fee of $100 (taxes not included). Upon your arrival, please present yourself at the box office to pay for your session and to read and sign our rule sheet. Please note that these sessions can only be paid for onsite on the day of the photoshoot as they are subject to Gallery operations.
Please take a moment to read the following regulations regarding photography at the Gallery:
- Professional photography is only permitted in the public spaces.
- Professional photography is not permitted in the exhibition spaces.
- Professional photography is permitted during our opening hours during the day but is not permitted on Thursday evenings or other days when we offer free admission due to increased attendance.
- Your group must not exceed 15 people, which includes photographers and any other supporting people.
- Photographs may only be taken with handheld cameras. No other equipment is permitted (for example: flashes, lights, tripods, equipment bags, reflectors, etc.).
- Photography must not impede visitor flow, impact visitors or interfere with other activities taking place.
- Photography groups are not permitted to move furniture, signage or similar items in public spaces. Decor or other items cannot be brought into the Gallery for your photoshoot.
- Any photographs taken at the Gallery should be for personal use only.
- Photography groups must follow the NGC Visitor Code of Conduct, and all instructions provided by Gallery staff.
Note that the Gallery regularly hosts events and activities in public spaces, and so there may be increased activity, elaborate set-ups, and some spaces may be off limits to your group on the day of your visit. The Gallery reserves the right to refuse your request for photography based on operational requirements or to limit the number of professional photography groups permitted at one time.
These rules were designed to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for all. The Gallery reserves the right to refuse access to any individual or group if these rules are not respected. We thank you for your cooperation.
